Since its inception in 1994, Teklor Controls Inc. led by it’s founder Dan Steinwender has been providing support services to industrial manufacturers and machining facilities operating CNC and automated equipment. These services included design, installation, repair as well as consultation regarding in-plant automation. The company was originally based in the automotive manufacturing region near Windsor, Ontario but services were often provided all across North America.
In 2002, Teklor Controls established a fully equipped repair facility to handle many tasks required to rebuild electronic equipment. Soon afterward the repair shop was expanded to offer a more diverse range of electrical / electronic design and repair services including electric servo and spindle motor diagnostics and repairs.
Between 2004 - 2006, there was a significant downturn in the automotive manufacturing sector which resulted in Teklor Controls reviewing it’s relationship with clients and their equipment. It was determined that more could be done to offer proactive monitoring of machinery.
In 2007, the company invested in predictive maintenance training utilizing Infrared Thermography. Using technologies such as IR scanning would enable Teklor Controls to economically and proactively access the health of it’s clients equipment and building facilities.
More recently ( 2013 ), Teklor Controls Inc. was relocated to the Halifax, Nova Scotia area. The exciting new location makes it possible to quickly serve much of the Canadian Atlantic / Maritime region.
